Consultation on streamlining the land release process is now closed

The land release review is examining how land is made available for exploration, production, and commercialisation, aiming to keep the process flexible, efficient, and aligned with Queensland’s priorities.

Land release is essential to a strong, sustainable, and competitive resources sector. It maintains a steady pipeline of exploration opportunities, attracts investment, and supports regional jobs and economic growth.

All feedback will be considered to guide future policy decisions. We thank everyone who contributed—your input will help ensure the land release process continues to support Queensland’s resources sector and regional communities.
