What is the Registration of Interest?

The Registration of Interest process will help the Queensland Government understand the level and type of general market interest in purchasing specified properties in Glenden if they are made as freehold in future.

Is the Registration of Interest a tender, auction or sales process?

No. It is not a tender, auction, contract of sale or offer to sell property, and it does not guarantee a future opportunity to purchase. If the Queensland Government decides to proceed with a formal property process in future, details will be provided separately.

Is the Registration of Interest binding?

No. Registering your interest does not commit you to purchasing a property. It also does not commit the Queensland Government or any other party making a property available or offering it to you.

    Who can participate?

Anyone can participate. This includes residents, tenants, property and business owners, prospective owner-occupiers, former residents, community organisations, investors, developers, service providers, and government and non-government organisations.

Has a decision been made about the future ownership of properties in Glenden?

No. The Queensland Government has not made a decision about whether any specified properties will become available as freehold. Any future property process would be announced separately.

Will prices be provided, or do I need to submit a proposed price?

No. Price information is not available, and you do not need to submit a proposed price. You only need to identify the properties you are interested in, whether as a whole, in groups or individually.

What happens after the Registration of Interest closes?

The Queensland Government will review the information received before deciding the next steps. People who register their interest and provide consent will be advised of any decisions once they are made. Updates will also be published on the government’s Future of Glenden webpage.
