What does the proposal include?
The Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development is considering a proposal to amend the locality boundaries of Twin Waters and Pacific Paradise, as shown on the Proposal Plan QPN1434. The proposed boundary amendment will result in approximately 140 hectares of land changing from the locality of Pacific Paradise into the locality of Twin Waters.
Where did the place name suggestion come from?
On 12 December 2025, the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Rural and Regional Development received a place name suggestion to amend the locality boundaries of Twin Waters and Pacific Paradise. The proposal is designed to better align locality boundaries with the recent development approval of the master planned community that is an extension of the existing Twin Waters estate and community, with direct links through the local road network, open space corridors and the Twin Waters lake system.
What would be the change impact of residents and businesses in the area?
When a final decision is made, amending the locality boundaries of Twin Waters and Pacific Paradise will require a relatively small number of affected residents to update their address to recognise the change
How will I know if the proposal is approved and my address is changing?
Affected property owners and residents in the area will be notified of the decision by letter.
