The Honourable Dale Last MP, Minister for Natural Resources and Mines, Minister for Manufacturing and Minister for Regional and Rural Development has decided to amend the locality boundary of Bells Creek and create the new locality of Aura Central.

Aura Central was created to formally recognise the central business district within the Caloundra South Priority Development Area.

Localities – often known as suburbs – are administrative boundaries that are essential for the creation of valid addresses that can be uniquely and clearly identified. Valid addresses are critical to ensure the timely and accurate provision of postal, emergency, and other essential services.

    Consistent and accurate place names are the basis of several vital activities, including map production, communication services, population censuses and statistics, postal addresses, and emergency and postal services.

    The Department is seeking community feedback on the place name proposal.

    Your submission will be considered by the Minister for Natural Resources and Mines, Minister for Manufacturing and Minister for Regional and Rural Development when making their final decision on the proposal.
